1941 Harley Davidson Colour Schemes

Back in 1941, Harley Davidson painted their motorcycles in five colours:

Harley-Davidson Skyway Blue

Harley-Davidson Cruiser Green
Paint Code: G41-9S

Harley-Davidson Flight Red
Paint Code: R-752S

Harley-Davidson Brilliant Black
Paint Code.  B907-S

Harley-Davidson Police Silver
Paint Code.  S766-S

Our inclination at this point is to paint the 1941 Harley Davidson WL 45 in a two-tone:

• Front fender: Primarily the Brilliant Black, with a Police Silver pencil strip on the edge of the fender.
• Rear Fender:  Primarily the Brilliant Black, with a Police Silver pencil strip on the edge of the fender.
• Tanks:  Police Silver below the tank trim line and Brilliant Black above (see photo below).

And to break the two-tone, we would like to make the saddle a natural tan colour (see example below).
